Chartwell retreat is just that, a retreat.

The rooms are beautifully presented and can be booked indivudually or as a group.

 

Chartwell Retreat itself is located just off the ever popular Church Street in Whitby, on the road that leads you past the many shops and business and on to the start of the 199 steps up to the famous Whitby Abbey. 

 

You won't be bored as Church Street features a whole host of exciting things for all of the family, from pubs and restaurants, ice cream and sweet shops, jewellery shops selling Whitby's famous black Jet and a couple of beaches as well as the Abbey.

 

Once you are inside Chartwell, you are met with an entrance hall, a great place for buckets, spades and sandy shoes, with a staircase leading up to the rooms. 

 

From the upper entrance hall, you have a large double bedroom ensuite with views of Church Street. Off the main hall, you also have a very large ensuite family room again overtlooking Church Street. The family suite is also accessed from the upper hall with the family bathroom to the left, and stairs to the right leading to a galleried landing where you can relax. Off the landing are the twin bedroom area to the left and to the right an open entrance to the Queen bedroom..
